Tenderfoot was one of the premiere bands to come out of the Ottawa Valley in the
1970’s. As Terry Carisse’s first
recording band, on the “Story of the Year”
album, their tight musicianship and superb harmonies made them one of the top
bands in Canada, winning them the RPM “Big Country” Award for Outstanding
Performance in 1978.
Drummer Terry “Chiefy” Morin was born in Ottawa, and his musical career
included road stints with the Julie Lynn Show, Roy Penny, and Honey West.
Chiefy was one of the founding members of Tenderfoot.
Bassist Gilles “Satch” Rheaume is also Ottawa born and raised and began his
career with Maury Logan & The Targets.
Satch, too, was an original member of Tenderfoot and is still in demand
for his bass-playing abilities.
Lead guitarist Bob Boucher was born in Aylmer, Quebec and came to Tenderfoot
after working with the Rock group, Renaissance, and the Ed & Gretchen Show.
A fine lead guitarist and singer, Bob is still active in country music.
Steel Guitarist and Keyboardist Al Bragg, was raised on a farm in Bowmanville, Ontario. He began his career with a group called Buckshot, worked with Roy Penny & Country Sunshine, and joined Tenderfoot in the mid-1970’s. Once of Canada’s best steel guitarists, Al owns his own recording studio in Ottawa and continues to perform on a regular basis.
